ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Photographing architecture is a lot like photographing art. Light is used to bring out the color, form and beauty of the structure and its surfaces. I have been a photographer for many years, using the camera to 'draw with light.' Whether photographing an arts and crafts bungalow or a modern simplified structure, lighting is everything. Waiting for or creating the correct light, giving as natural a final effect as possible, and telling the story of the house is our goal. I have a fine art background and taught art and photography for many years at California College of Art, UC Berkeley and Berkeley City College. My own work is architectural. I have shown in galleries and museums. I have a separate website for that work: www.jeannieoconnor.com

I have photographed new and remodeled homes from Sonoma to Atherton. I have also photographed clients in their homes, contractors and their crews, and architects and their staff. My assistant is a web designer and photographer. His specialties are night photography and action sports.
