Jeannie
O’Connor was born in San Francisco and studied art at the University
of California, Berkeley, where she received an MA in painting . Jeannie
became interested in photography while in graduate school, initially
doing portraits in black and white. Intrigued by the possibility of
combining painting and photography, Jeannie created a method of painting
on film .
